Preventing, Identifying, Reporting and Treating Child Abuse
Friday, April 23 2010, 9:00am - 12:00pm

Child abuse is a difficult and troubling reality in our world today. Many of the children we encounter and serve are victims of maltreatment and/or neglect. Participants in this workshop will learn the history, definition, and scope of child abuse and neglect; how to identify the symptoms of child abuse and the situations that lead to child abuse; and how to be a responsible caregiver in collecting information and reporting abuse in a timely manner.
