Effective January 1, 2010, All Church Home for Children, Inc., will begin a new era of service with the debut of our new agency name: ACH Child and Family Services. To: Friends of All Church Home for Children I am pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2010, All Church Home for Children, Inc., will begin a new era of service with the debut of our new agency name: ACH Child and Family Services. This name change, which involved the collective efforts of our Board of Directors, key stakeholders and agency friends, as well as agency leadership and staff, is designed to better convey who we are and what we do as an agency today. Our history of service is almost a century old. The new name reflects the expanded scope of community-based services with increased emphasis in recent years on Protecting Children through non-residential approaches to Preserving Families. It is interesting to note that the percentage of youth living with their families while receiving our services has grown from less than 5% in 1998 to 86% in 2008. As the scope of our services grew, it became apparent that our name did not clearly communicate this expanded approach. Most of our newest programs offer services in homes and in community settings that support families struggling with raising children. However, please know that we will continue our commitment to providing homes for children unable to live safely with their families and remain steadfast in our belief that all children deserve a childhood filled with safety, hope, love and opportunities to reach their maximum potential. Another factor in this decision was that research revealed that due to our name, people often believed our agency was affiliated with and/or substantially funded by a particular church or religious denomination. While we remain proud of our founding on Christian principles, we are not affiliated with any one church or religious denomination. Our services are available and sensitive to people of all beliefs. In addition to our new name, we will be unveiling a new logo:
This logo features an icon that conveys our child-centered, family-focused care philosophy, while also symbolizing guidance, safety and caring. Accompanying the new name and logo is our new, simplified mission: Protecting Children and Preserving Families. Amidst these changes, we are renewing our already strong commitments to providing quality services and to exceeding the highest standards of resource stewardship. We are excited about this next era of service to our community and we look forward to sharing more with you about the impact we are making in the lives of children and families. Should you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. Thank you again for your support and continued commitment to Protecting Children and Preserving Families. Despite the upcoming changes, our services remain accessible through the same channels as before. Mailing Address
